Magina (No problem)
Suave (Cool)
De boa (all good/cool)
Tá (Okay, unsarcastically. Comes from “está bem”)
Ah tá (Okay, sarcastically)
Doida (crazy)
Tipo (Like)
Então (So or then)
A gente (us/we; conjugate like ele/ela)
Tô (I am). Generally, Brazilians drop the “es” from estar conjugations when speaking or writing informally (-tô, -tá, -tava)
Cê (Você)
Meio (Kind of, sort of)
...e tal (“et cetera” or “and so on”; used to end a list)
Pra (Para)
-zinho/a (diminutive, e.g. barzinho or cafezinho)
-ão (augmentative, e.g. lagão)
Olha becomes ó (e.g., é aqui ó)
Valeu (thanks!)
Gato/a (cute, in reference to a person)
Gostoso/a (hot, in reference to a person)
Uai (inexplicable interjection, used mostly in Minas Gerais)
Trem (“thing” or other filler word; used mostly in Minas Gerais)
Hein (huh)
